Informations sur la grippe A/H7N9

Évolution de la situation

Le 24 avril 2013, les autorités sanitaires taïwanaises ont fait état d’un premier cas de contamination par le virus H7N9 de la grippe aviaire d’un Taïwanais revenant sur l’île après un voyage en Chine continentale. Cette personne a été placée en isolement et suit actuellement un traitement médical. À ce stade, aucune transmission interhumaine n’a été détectée, y compris chez les proches de la personne malade.

Suite aux premiers cas de contamination par le virus H7N9 en Chine continentale à la fin du mois de mars 2013, les autorités taïwanaises, qui font preuve d’une grande transparence, ont renforcé la vigilance et pris des mesures préventives. Dès le 3 avril, le virus H7N9 a été répertorié comme une maladie devant impérativement être notifiée aux autorités sanitaires par le personnel médical, son diagnostic entraînant une mise en quarantaine.

Les autorités taïwanaises ont notamment :

• renforcé les contrôles dans les ports et aéroports, en particulier par la prise de la température des visiteurs venant de Chine continentale ;

• suspendu les importations de volaille en provenance de Chine continentale, de Hong Kong et de Macao ;

• systématisé les tests sanguins dans les élevages aviaires de l’île ;

• augmenté le nombre d’inspections dans les marchés de Taïwan vendant des volailles vivantes, et interdit la vente et l’abattage de volailles vivantes dans les marchés à partir du 17 mai 2013 ;

• placé six provinces chinoises (Jiangxi, Jiangsu, Henan, Zhejiang, Anhui, Shandong) et les villes de Shanghai et Pékin en niveau d’alerte 2 depuis le 25 avril. Ce niveau d’alerte signifie que les autorités taiwanaises recommandent aux voyageurs se déplaçant dans ces provinces et ces villes de faire preuve de la plus grande prudence et de prendre des mesures de protection renforcées, en particulier lorsqu’ils visitent certains lieux à haut risque.

Les autorités sanitaires taïwanaises considèrent que le début du mouvement des oiseaux migrateurs au mois de septembre pourrait favoriser la propagation du virus à Taïwan à partir de l’automne prochain.

Bonnes pratiques :

La grippe aviaire est une maladie virale animale (volailles, porcs), exceptionnellement transmissible de l’animal à l’homme. Ses symptômes sont ceux d’une grippe tels que : fièvre, toux, douleurs musculaires, fatigue. Des mesures d’hygiène classiques sont recommandées pour limiter les risques de transmission :

• proscrire tout contact direct avec les volailles oiseaux sauvages et porcs vivants, notamment sur les marchés ;

• éviter la consommation de produits alimentaires crus ou peu cuits, en particulier les viandes et les œufs ;

• se laver régulièrement les mains à l’eau et au savon ou avec un soluté hydro-alcoolique, et systématiquement s’il y a eu contact avec des animaux ou des œufs.

En cas de forte fièvre et de difficultés respiratoires, il convient de consulter un médecin sans délai. Les voyageurs présentant des symptômes de la grippe A/H7N9 peuvent consulter dans tous les hôpitaux taïwanais, la prescription de Tamiflu n’y étant plus soumise à restriction.
