Infezione Umana da Virus dell’Influenza Aviaria A(H7N9) in Cina, aggiornamento

Alla data del 19 aprile 2013 (ore 18.00 locali), la Commissione Nazionale per la Salute e la Pianificazione Familiare Cinese ha notificato all’OMS quattro casi umani addizionali di infezione, confermata tramite analisi di laboratorio, da virus dell’influenza aviaria A(H7N9). I casi hanno riguardato residenti delle province dello Jiangsu (1 caso (0 decessi)) e dello Zhejiang (3 casi (0 decessi)). Nessun decesso addizionale è stato riportato.

I quattro casi riguardano:
  • un uomo di 54 anni di età dello Jiangsu con esordio dei sintomi il 9 aprile scorso, ricovero in ospedale il 15 aprile e diagnosi di infezione confermata il 17 aprile 2013. Attualmente si trova in condizioni critiche.
  • Un uomo di 43 anni, disoccupato, residente nello Zhejiang, con esordio dei sintomi il 12 aprile, ricovero in ospedale il 15 aprile e diagnosi di infezione confermata il 18 aprile 2013.
  • Un uomo 48 anni di età, dello Zhejiang, con esordio della malattia l’11 aprile, ricovero in ospedale il 17 aprile e diagnosi di infezione confermata il 19 aprile 2013.
  • Una donna di 66 anni, dello Zhejiang, con esposizione pregressa a pollame vivo e con esordio dei sintomi il 10 aprile, ricovero in ospedale il 17 aprile e diagnosi di infezione confermata il 19 aprile 2013.
Alla data di oggi, la Cina ha riportato complessivamente 91 casi confermati – diagnositcati tramite analisi di laboratorio – di infezione umana da virus A(H7N9) dell’influenz aviaria di cui 17 con esito fatale, in quattro province:
  • Anhui 3 casi (1 decesso),
  • Henan 3 casi (0 decessi),
  • Jiangsu 22 casi (3 decessi),
  • Zhejiang 30 casi (2 decessi),
e in due Municipalità:
  • Pechino 1 caso (0 decesso),
  • Shanghai 32 casi (11 decessi).
Attualmente 67 pazienti si trovano in ospedale mentre sette sono stati dimessi.

Fino a questo momento non c’è prova di trasmissione interumana in atto.

L’OMS non consiglia screening speciali ai punti di ingresso frontalieri nè raccomanda l’adozione di misure di restrizione ai viaggi o ai commerci in relazione a questo evento.

Su invito della Commissione Nazionale per la Salute e la Pianificazione Familiare Cinese, l’OMS ha formato un gruppo di esperti che visiterà le aree affette dall’influenz aviaria A(H7N9) in Cina alfine di fornire raccomandazioni sulla prevenzione e il controllo della malattia.
